Mold and facial makeup don’t mix, which is why this cosmetics product was recalled

All shades of Becca Cosmetics Light Shifter Brightening Concealer got recalled around the nation because something new and unwelcome might be added.

According to the company-written, FDA-posted recall notice, “a brownish-black material identified as a common household mold was found on the sponge-tip applicator of some units.”

This can cause a skin irritation or, for those with a mold allergy, something worse.

This recall covers all shades of the product, batch Nos. 0030A; 9308A; 0052A; 0052C; 9291A; 9309A; 0036A; 0037A; 0038A; 0038B; 0041A; 9289A; 0062A; 0062B; 0062C; 9283A; 9284A; 9287A; and 9288A.

Becca says customers should talk to the place of purchase about refunds.
