UM and Notre Dame fans: get out your 2028-2037 calendars
University of Miami and Notre Dame football fans will be a lot older, the football players they cheer for still may not be born yet, but we now know when the two programs will meet in the next 20 years.
The Atlantic Coast Conference on Thursday announced the five games that will be played between both programs (as well as the other ACC teams and Notre Dame) through 2037.
Miami’s previously unannounced five games (in addition to the Nov. 11, 2017 game against Notre Dame at Hard Rock Stadium and the 2024 game at Notre Dame) against the Fighting Irish:
▪ 2028: Miami at Notre Dame.
▪ 2031: Miami at Notre Dame.
▪ 2032: Notre Dame at Miami.
▪ 2034: Notre Dame at Miami.
▪ 2037: Miami at Notre Dame.
The agreement between the two programs continues a partnership that began in 2014 and has the ACC’s 14 football schools playing the Irish an average of five times per year.
The ACC noted that by the end of the 2037 season, Notre Dame will have played 120 games against ACC opponents.
The Hurricanes have a rich, intense history against the Fighting Irish.
This season, UM traveled to South Bend, Indiana, losing 30-27 on a 23-yard field goal by the Irish with 30 seconds left.
The Hurricanes are no doubt looking forward to this next game at home.
