Registration still open for Miami Marathon and half marathon
As officials begin counting down to Miami Marathon weekend, organizers said Friday that registration is still open for both the marathon and half marathon.
The races will begin together at 6:15 a.m. Jan. 24 (6 a.m. for wheelchair participants) on Biscayne Boulevard in front of AmericanAirlines Arena and traverse through Miami, Miami Beach and Coconut Grove — though this year the race will use both directions of the MacArthur Causeway to accommodate the construction project on the Venetian Causeway.
The health & fitness expo, presented by the Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald, this year will be held at Mana Event Center in Wynwood and will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Jan. 22 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 23.
The race will close if a combined registration of 25,000 is met.
Registration through Thursday is $140 for the marathon and $115 for the half marathon, then rises to $150 for the marathon and $125 for the half marathon.
The half marathon entry feel will also be $150 if registration is still available at the expo.
