The Florida Panthers made history at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

For the first time in the franchise’s history, three of its players factored in on the same goal on the highest level of best-on-best hockey.

Center Anton Lundell scored 15:26 into the first period in Finland’s 4-1 preliminary round win against Sweden on Friday at the Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena for his first career Olympic goal.

The assists on that goal? Panthers teammates Eetu Luostarinen and Niko Mikkola.

That goal put Finland up 2-0 on rival Sweden and served as the eventual game-winning goal.

Both teams are now 1-1 in the round-robin preliminary round with one game left to play. Finland opened the tournament with a 4-1 loss to Slovakia on Wednesday, while Sweden’s tournament opener was a 5-2 win against Italy.

Sweden’s final preliminary round game is against Slovakia at 6:10 a.m. Saturday. Finland closes preliminary round action against Italy at 10:40 a.m. Saturday.
