Florida Panthers coach Paul Maurice said after the team’s morning skate on Wednesday that veteran forward Brad Marchand was not going to play against the Boston Bruins as he continued to deal with an undisclosed injury.

About that...

Marchand took warmups prior to the game at Amerant Bank Arena and is officially set to return, according to the league’s roster report for the game that officially lists the players participating in the game.

Marchand had missed the past two games and nine of Florida’s past 13 games. Despite the time missed, he is second on the team in goals (25), assists (25) and points (50) over 45 games.

His return the third bit of positive injury news the Panthers received Wednesday, as centers Anton Lundell and Sam Bennett are both playing as well. Lundell had missed the past three games with an upper-body injury while Bennett departed Florida’s 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Monday after the first period with an upper body injury.

Florida’s forward lines during warmups were as follows.

Carter Verhaeghe - Anton Lundell - Sam Reinhart

Eetu Luostarinen - Sam Bennett - Matthew Tkachuk

A.J. Greer - Evan Rodrigues - Brad Marchand

Sandis Vilmanis - Cole Schwindt - Mackie Samosckevich.
