The Florida Panthers found out Thursday night that their second-round series in the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs will be against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

They had to wait one more day to find out when that series would begin.

The NHL announced Friday that the best-of-7 matchup between the Panthers and Maple Leafs will begin on Monday at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 8 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN. The rest of the schedule has not yet been announced.

From the second round and beyond, only national rightsholders (ESPN/ABC and TNT/TBS in the United States) are able to televise games. However, Scripps Sports — which broadcasts Panthers games locally — will still have a 30-minute pregame show prior to every Panthers game for the duration of the playoffs.

The Maple Leafs, as the higher seed, will host Games 1, 2, 5 (if necessary) and 7 (if necessary). The Panthers will be the home team for Games 3, 4 and 6 (if necessary).
