For the third time in his career and the first time in his five seasons with the Florida Panthers, Sergei Bobrovsky is an All-Star.

Bobrovsky on Saturday was announced as one of four goaltenders selected to participate in the 2024 NHL All-Star Game via fan vote, which determined the final 12 participants in the event. Bobrovsky was previously an All-Star in both 2015 and 2017 while playing for the Columbus Blue Jackets, but he did not play in 2015 due to injury.

The All-Star Game is on Feb. 3 in Toronto.

Jake Oettinger (Dallas Stars), Cam Talbot (Los Angeles Kings), Igor Shesterkin (New York Rangers and Connor Hellebuyck (Winnipeg Jets) on Jan. 4 were the first four netminders named to the All-Star Game.

Colorado’s Alexandar Georgiev, Boston’s Jeremy Swayman and Vancouver’s Thatcher Demko were the other three goaltenders voted into the All-Star Game, as announced during the first intermission of the Saturday afternoon game between the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals. The final goaltender will be announced later Saturday.

Bobrovsky entered Saturday with a 21-9-1 record, .913 save percentage and 2.42 goals against average. The 21 wins are tied with Hellebuyck and Demko for the second-most in the NHL, behind only Georgiev (23). the 2.42 goals against average is third best among goalies with at least 25 starts behind only Hellebuyck (2.20) and Talbot (2.22). The .913 save percentage is tied with Pittsburgh’s Tristan Jarry for fourth among that group behind only Hellebuyck (.923), Talbot (.922) and Demko (.916).

Bobrovsky, who will be in net for the Panthers on Saturday against the New Jersey Devils, has won each of his past seven starts and has held opponents to no more than two goals in five of those seven outings.

Bobrovsky joins Florida forward Sam Reinhart as the Panthers’ representatives at the All-Star Game.

“Sergei has been the pinnacle of consistency this season for our team, an exemplary veteran presence in net who has been a true difference maker night in and night out,” Panthers general manager Bill Zito said in a press release. “Panthers fans made their voices heard, and we are thrilled for him to join Sam Reinhart as ambassadors for our organization in Toronto at the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend.”
