The Florida Panthers’ 2023-24 schedule is out. Here are the key dates to know
The Florida Panthers’ 2023-24 regular-season schedule will begin almost four months to the day after their run to the Stanley Cup Final ended.
The NHL on Tuesday unveiled the league’s schedule.
The Panthers open the season, their second under head coach Paul Maurice, on Oct. 12 at the Minnesota Wild, which kicks off a three-city road trip that also goes to the Winnipeg Jets (Oct. 14) and New Jersey Devils (Oct. 16).
Florida’s first home game in Sunrise comes on Oct. 19 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Panthers will raise an Eastern Conference Champions banner that night. That starts a four-game homestand that also features the Vancouver Canucks (Oct. 21), San Jose Jets (Oct. 24) and Seattle Kraken (Oct. 28).
Overall, the Panthers play 23 of their first 40 games on the road before playing 28 of their final 42 at home.
Other notable highlights from the schedule:
▪ The Panthers host the Vegas Golden Knights on Dec. 23 for a 3 p.m. game in the first rematch of the Stanley Cup Final, which Vegas won in five games. The Panthers travel to Vegas on Jan. 4.
▪ Florida’s longest road trip is a five-game, nine-day stretch during which they go to Columbus (Dec. 10), Seattle (Dec. 12), Vancouver (Dec. 14), Edmonton (Dec. 16) and Calgary (Dec. 18).
▪ Florida also has one five-game homestand, which includes games against Los Angeles (Jan. 11), New Jersey (Jan. 13), Anaheim (Jan. 15), Detroit (Jan. 17) and Minnesota (Jan. 19).
▪ The Panthers’ games against the Tampa Bay Lightning are on Dec. 27 (road), Feb. 17 (road) and March 16 (home).
