There are no playoffs to look forward to for the Miami Dolphins.

But they did close their season on a high note.

The Dolphins beat the New England Patriots 33-24 on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium to end the year with a 9-8 record — a remarkable accomplishment considering Miami was 1-7 eight games into the season.

Next up: An offseason that should be interesting.
