Derrick Jones Jr., Kendrick Nunn walked out of All-Star Weekend with endorsement deals

Puma’s basketball roster just got a bit hotter.

Kendrick Nunn and Derrick Jones Jr. inked new deals with the shoe company following their All-Star Weekend performances, according to ESPN’s Nick DePaula.

“This is a day that I’m going to tell my kids [about],” Jones Jr. told DePaula.

Sporting the Miami Heat’s “ViceWave” jersey, Jones Jr. wore a matching pair of white and pink Puma Clyde Hardwood kicks as he threw down a series of eyebrow-raising, between-the-legs dunks. The 6-6 high-flier was offered the endorsement deal shortly after hoisting the Slam Dunk trophy.

Nunn, who started for Team USA in the Rising Stars game, dropped 16 points en route to a 151-131 victory in front of his hometown crowd. The three-time Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month has been one of the key figures on a Heat team that has the eighth-best record in the league.

Puma pounced back into the basketball shoe market in 2018 after a near 20 year hiatus. Bolstered by the hiring of Jay-Z as the basketball division’s creative director, the company’s roster includes DeMarcus Cousins, Skylar Diggins and five of first 16 picks in the 2018 Draft.
