Dwyane Wade opens up on decision to include Zaya’s transgender decision in documentary.

Former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade grabbed headlines last week for his appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” when he opened up in a candid talk about his 12-year-old child’s journey from being born as Zion, a boy, to choosing to become Zaya, a girl.

On Tuesday, D-Wade was on “Good Morning America,” where he spoke to host Robin Roberts about his upcoming ESPN documentary, “D.Wade: Life Unexpected,” and the decision to include Zaya’s transgender decision in it.

“I struggled on how much I wanted to talk about it in the doc, I actually did talk about it a lot, but I knew if I put it in the doc at all it would be a big conversation,” Wade said on GMA.
