Martin Truex Jr. wins pole for Homestead’s 4EVER 400. Full start list after qualifying

Martin Truex Jr. will start in pole position for the NASCAR Cup Series’ 4EVER 400 on Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Truex, driving the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 19 Toyota Camry, ran the fastest lap in the final round of qualifying on Saturday, completing the one-and-half mile track in 32.256 seconds, barely ahead of Bubba Wallace’s time of 32.313.

Truex enters the weekend in third place among the eight drivers still in contention for the Cup Series championship and won at Homestead in 2017 to cap his first and only Cup Series championship on the circuit.

Four of the other playoff drivers will start in the top 10: Tyler Reddick in third, Kyle Larson in fifth, William Byron in seventh and Ryan Blaney in 10th.

As for the other three still in the playoffs, Denny Hamlin will start in 11th, Christopher Bell in 13th and Chris Buescher in 17th.

The top 10 advanced to the final round of qualifying by being among the top drivers in their heat in the first round and their position was based on the final round. The positions for everyone from 11th and beyond is based on their time from the first qualifying round.
