Andretti Formula E's Vergne takes the Miami ePrix pole position
Andretti Formula E's Jean-Eric Vergne whipped off a lap of 1:05.953 seconds to take the Miami ePrix pole position Saturday morning. China Racing's Nelson Piquet Jr. will start next to him Saturday afternoon on the front row after a 1:06.003 lap.
Vergne and Piquet pipped Nicolas Prost, whose 1:06.167 led the early qualifying groups. Prost's e.Dams Renault car will start next to Virgin Racing's Sam Bird, just three-thousandths of a second off Prost at 1:06.170.
Practice, originally scheduled to start at 8:15 a.m., began almost two and a half hours late after track construction wasn't finished on time.
