Miami Marlins’ 2026 schedule is out. Here are the key dates to know
When the 2026 MLB season begins, the Miami Marlins will once again open their campaign on their home field.
Miami will begin next season on March 26 against the Colorado Rockies to start a six-game homestand at loanDepot park, MLB announced Tuesday with the unveiling of its 2026 schedule. The Chicago White Sox will be on the back half of that season-opening homestand.
The 162-game slate follows the usual format: 13 games against each team in the National League East (the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals), six or seven games against every other team in the National League (one series at home, one series on the road), six games against the Tampa Bay Rays (three at home, three on the road) and a three-game series against each of the other 14 American League teams.
The two NL teams Miami plays seven times: the Rockies (three at home, four on the road) and Cincinnati Reds (four at home, three on the road).
The eight AL teams to come to Miami this season: the White Sox (March 30-April 1), Baltimore Orioles (May 5-7), Rays (June 5-7), Texas Rangers (June 22-24), Seattle Mariners (July 7-9), Cleveland Guardians (July 10-12), Los Angeles Angels (Aug. 7-9) and Boston Red Sox (Aug. 24-26).
The Marlins will host games at loanDepot park on Mother’s Day (May 10 against the Nationals), Father’s Day (June 21 against the Giants) and Labor Day (Sept. 7 against the Mets), while they will play on the road for the Fourth of July (July 4 at the Athletics) for the first time since 2022.
Other notables about Miami’s schedule:
-The team has two three-team homestands and three three-city road trips.
The elongated homestands are a 10-game stretch in May against the Phillies (May 1-4), Orioles (May 5-7) and Nationals (May 8-10) and a nine-game slate in September with the Chicago Cubs (Sept. 4-6), Mets (Sept. 7-9) and Los Angeles Dodgers (Sept. 11-13).
The extended road trips are from late May through early June against the Toronto Blue Jays (May 25-27), Mets (May 28-30) and Nationals (June 1-3), late June through early July against the St. Louis Cardinals (June 26-28), Rockies (June 29-July 2) and Athletics (July 3-5), and September against the Arizona Diamondbacks (Sept. 14-16), San Diego Padres (Sept. 18-20) and Cubs (Sept. 22-24).
-Miami ends the season at home against the Braves from Sept. 25-27.
