The middle game of the Miami Marlins’ three-game series against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park went into a weather delay in the top of the sixth inning Wednesday.

The game went to a halt with one out in the top of the sixth, the Marlins having runners on first and second base after back-to-back walks to Jorge Soler and Bryan De La Cruz and Jazz Chisholm Jr. having a 1-2 count against Red Sox pitcher Nick Pivetta.

The game is scheduled to restart at 9:45 p.m.

The Marlins and Red Sox were tied 1-1 at the time of the delay, with each team hitting a solo home run. Garrett Cooper opened scoring in the second by taking right-handed pitcher Kaleb Ort deep to center field. Rafael Devers tied the game in the second against Miami’s Braxton Garrett with a home run to right-center field.

Miami (46-34) won the first game of the series 10-1 on Tuesday, logging a season-high-tying 19 hits and getting seven strong innings from right-handed pitcher Sandy Alcantara.
