This is not the start the Miami Marlins wanted.

They are 4-7 on the season. Three of the losses have been blowouts, including Monday’s 15-3 beatdown by the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

The starting pitching, the team’s backbone, has been erratic. The offense isn’t scoring runs despite getting a ton of hits.

Is this just early-season adjustments? Or is this who the Marlins will ultimately be all season? And is it too early to start making these judgment calls?

Jordan McPherson, the Miami Herald’s Marlins beat writer, discusses that and more in the latest episode of Fish Bytes. The episode also includes a pair of interviews with left-handed starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo and infielder Jean Segura before ending with a quick look at what is going on in the minor leagues.
