The Miami Marlins on Wednesday announced the 27 players who will attend spring training as non-roster invites — players not currently on the 40-man roster.

Among that group are three of the club’s top-seven prospects according to MLB Pipeline in right-handed pitcher Eury Perez (No. 1), infielder Jacob Berry (No. 3) and left-handed pitcher Dax Fulton (No. 7).

Perez, just 19 years old, is a consensus top-10 prospect in all of MLB. He spent all of last season, his second in pro ball, with the Double A Pensacola Blue Wahoos where he struck out 106 of the 311 batters he faced and held opponents to a .233 batting average against.

He’s 6-8, 220 pounds and has three above-average pitches with a fastball in the upper-90s, a mid-80s changeup and an upper-70s curveball. Perez has spent the offseason training with Marlins ace and reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Sandy Alcantara.

Berry, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, is coming off his first season of pro ball in which he played 37 games (four with the Marlins’ Florida Complex League affiliate, 33 with Single A Jupiter) and produced a .248 average, .343 on-base percentage, .362 slugging slash line.

MLB Pipeline listed him as the sixth-best third baseman prospect in all of baseball heading into the 2023 season.

And Fulton, 21 and Miami’s second-round pick from the 2020 draft, is another fast rising pitcher like Perez.

He reached Double A last season and produced a 3.80 ERA with 150 strikeouts against 42 walks over 118 1/3 innings. In his four games with Pensacola, Fulton had a 2.57 ERA with 30 strikeouts against seven walks with a .125 batting average against in 21 innings. His fastball sits between 93 and 96 mph and his low-80s curveball is arguably his best pitch.

The first spring training workout for Marlins pitchers and catchers in Jupiter is Feb. 16. The team’s first full-squad workout is Feb. 21.
