Podcast: Reacting to Jeter’s Marlins departure, and MLB’s (new) deadline day is here
Monday was a busy day for Major League Baseball news.
The Miami Marlins and CEO Derek Jeter “agreed to officially end their relationship,” with Jeter saying “the future of the franchise is different than the one I signed up to lead” and MLB, following more than 16 hours of negotiations, told players they now have until 5 p.m. Tuesday to agree to a collective bargaining agreement if they want the regular season to start on time.
On the latest episode of Fish Bytes, Miami Herald Marlins beat writer Jordan McPherson and deputy sports editor Andre Fernandez break down both topics and their impacts on the Marlins and MLB as a whole.
