There’s still no collective bargaining agreement in place between Major League Baseball and the MLB Players’ Association.

MLB spring training is supposed to start in about a week.

Supposed to being the key words.

A delay is all but inevitable at this point, and that’s anything but ideal for a Miami Marlins team that is preparing for a critical 2022 season.

On the latest episode of Fish Bytes, Miami Herald Marlins beat writer Jordan McPherson and deputy sports editor Andre Fernandez look at the impact spring training’s inevitable delay will have on the Marlins and MLB. Also, the two break down what they have seen at the Marlins’ prospect development camp in Jupiter.

The episode wraps up with interviews with pitcher Max Meyer and outfielder JJ Bleday.
