Major League Baseball might be in the midst of a lockout, but the Miami Herald made a big acquisition with Andre Fernandez coming back to the paper as deputy sports editor.

In addition to his new role helping oversee the staff, Fernandez made his return to the Fish Bytes podcast, joining Miami Marlins beat writer Jordan McPherson to talk about his return, go over where the Marlins’ roster stands and discuss what to expect during the lockout.

The second half of the show consists of pool interviews done with Marlins general manager Kim Ng and CEO Derek Jeter on Wednesday when the team held a news conference to formally announce Sandy Alcantara’s contract extension and Avisail Garcia’s signing.
