The offseason begins in earnest as early as this weekend, depending on when the World Series matchup between the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros comes to a close.

But the Miami Marlins have already handled one item on their to-do list when they signed Miguel Rojas to a contract extension that keeps him in South Florida through the 2023 season.

Jordan McPherson, the Miami Herald’s Marlins beat writer, breaks down what to expect from the club in an offseason primer edition of the Fish Bytes podcast. He also takes a look at the Arizona Fall League, where outfielder prospect JJ Bleday is off to a scorching start, and plays an interview with Peyton Burdick, the Marlins’ minor-league player of the year.
