The Major League Baseball season is down to two teams, with the World Series set to begin Tuesday.

Representing the National League: The Atlanta Braves.

Representing the American League: The Houston Astros.

And the Miami Marlins can learn a thing or two about how those two teams were constructed.

Both went through a rebuilding process not too long ago and came out on the positive side of it.

Both made sound decisions in both the MLB Draft and international free agent markets while supplementing their rosters with free agent signings and timely trades.

And now both are competing on MLB’s biggest stage.

Jordan McPherson, the Marlins beat writer for the Miami Herald, breaks down the two teams and provides context to where the Marlins stand in their rebuild on the latest episode of Fish Bytes.

Later in the episode, we dive into some quick Marlins news with the offseason right around the corner and hear from three prospects — 2021 first-round pick Kahlil Watson, third-round pick Jordan McCants and 18th-round pick Bennett Hostetler — who took part in the team’s three-week fall development camp at loanDepot park.
