Westminster’s Cristian Matos throws for four touchdowns in 4-3A semifinal

The host Warriors outscored the Crusaders (4-6) in the first half of an overpowering 41-10 Region 4-3A semifinal playoff win.

Cristian Matos led Westminster (10-1) with 122 passing yards and four touchdown passes.

Jordan Cronkrite rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown. Akil Oliver had two catches, both for touchdowns. Tim Irvin had three receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown. On defense, James “Trey” Sutton had four sacks.

Next week, Westminster will host the winner of American Heritage-Delray and Chaminade-Madonna in the regional final.
