Defense gives Miami High Stingarees easy win over Mourning
Miami High defeated Alonzo Mourning, 45-0, on homecoming night at Curtis Park.
The Stingarees (7-3) had six players score in addition to two safeties recorded by a fierce defense in front of a jubilant crowd.
Juan Lasso opened up the second half for Miami High with a 55-yard touchdown run. The Stingarees didn’t let up and scored 16 additional points.
Mourning (1-9) endured a tough game with only 77 total yards on offense because of a stingy Miami High defense that recorded three sacks and held the Sharks’ running game to just 63 yards.
