Hialeah falls to Coral Reef

After 31 years of coaching Hialeah (1-9, 1-4), Marc Berman’s final game resulted in a narrow 7-6 loss to the Coral Reef Barracudas (2-8, 0-4) Thursday evening at Traz Powell Stadium.

“I have had the opportunity to help a lot of kids,” said Berman. “I have coached some outstanding football players, but more importantly I have coached some outstanding young men.”

While retiring from coaching, Berman will continue to teach at Hialeah.

Jawon Hamilton led Coral Reef with 105 rushing yards on 25 carries. He finishes the season with 942 yards, currently second best in Class 8A-6A. Bryant led Hialeah with 61 rushing yards.
