North Miami Beach Chargers pull away in second half to beat Hialeah Gardens

Fresh off of a huge district win last week over Ronald Reagan, the North Miami Beach Chargers were not about to take their eye off the ball on Thursday afternoon and did not as NMB pulled away in the second half to defeat Hialeah Gardens 30-6 in a District 13-8A contest at Gardens High School.

The win moved NMB to 3-5 overall but 3-1 in the district, and the Chargers can clinch a runner-up playoff berth on Friday with losses by Reagan and Hialeah. Gardens fell to 3-5, 1-3.

Quarterback Cedric Wiggins led the way for the Chargers causing damage both through the air and on the ground. Wiggins completed 13-of-17 passes for 168 yards while rushing for 67 yards on 10 carries.
