Krop Lightning flashy in homecoming victory over Hialeah

Dr. Krop offered a little flashy celebrations in its 39-23 homecoming win over Hialeah Thursday at North Miami Stadium.

The Lightning returned two interceptions and a kickoff for touchdowns, and fell on a bad snap in the end zone to beat Hialeah in a District 13-8A game. Ryan Jackson returned an interception 17 yards for a score. Nick Khouri ran back a kick 81 yards, and Raekwon Hankerson scored the last of his two touchdowns on a 37-yard interception return as the clock expired to put the icing on the cake. Both Khouri and Hankerson flipped into the end zone in celebration of a wild finish.

Both teams turned the ball over on ensuing snaps before Krop's Jonathan Francois fell on a bad snap in the end zone with 12 seconds left to seal the deal."We gave ’em an opportunity," Hudson said. "When we thought we had 'em put away, it happened again. Hialeah, my hat's off to those guys. They battled back. But our guys, we got the breaks at the end."
