MAST Academy boys’ water polo standout Eduardo Fogel is the Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.

Fogel scored a game-high seven goals to lead the Makos to a 15-14 win over Columbus and the GMAC championship.

MAST is 10-4 on the season.

Doral Academy softball’s Anabela Abdullah, Westminster Christian baseball’s Manny Marin, Columbus baseball’s Franklin Francisco and Florida Christian softball’s Serena Gillen rounded out this week’s participants.

The Miami Herald Athlete of the Week polls — one each for Miami-Dade and Broward counties — open Sunday every week and close around 10 p.m. Thursday.
