Results are in. Belen boys’ volleyball standout voted Dade High School Athlete of the Week

Belen Jesuit boys’ volleyball standout Morrison Hadad is the Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.

Hadad led the Wolverines to a repeat championship of the Jungle Queen Invitational. Hadad had 13 kills, seven digs, and four aces in the finals against Orlando Timber Creek.

On the season, Belen Jesuit is 11-1. Hadad, a senior outside hitter, leads the Wolverines with 119 kills (3.5 per set) and also has 18 service aces, 11 blocks and 81 digs.

True North baseball’s Samuel Alonso, Palmetto flag football’s Ava Alvarez, COHEA baseball’s Joshua Cardoso and Miami Springs baseball’s Anthony Espinoza rounded out this week’s participants.

The Miami Herald Athlete of the Week polls — one each for Miami-Dade and Broward counties — open Sunday every week and close around 10 p.m. Thursday.
