Columbus boys’ track and field standout Shaddai Carter is the Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.
Carter led the Explorers to the team championship of the Louie Bing Invitational by winning the long jump and triple jump championships.
Carter last season finished fifth in the long jump at the Class 4A state championship meet.
Monsignor Pace girls’ basketball’s Catherine Guillaume, Scheck Hillel boys’ soccer’s Adam Waich, Reagan boys’ soccer’s Enrique Garcia Salazar and Norland girls’ basketball’s Shania Swan rounded out this week’s participants.
