Results are in. Gulliver basketball standout voted Dade High School Athlete of the Week
Gulliver Prep girls’ basketball standout Caitlin Dauphin is the Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.
Dauphin, a junior center, had 31 points and 20 rebounds in wins over TERRA and Archbishop McCarthy.
On the season, Dauphin is averaging a double-double with 10.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per game though Gulliver Prep’s first 10 outings. The Raiders are 7-3.
Belen Jesuit boys’ basketball’s Carlos Santana, Lourdes girls’ basketball’s Luciana Picasso and St. Brendan boys’ basketball’s Adrian Alicea rounded out this week’s participants.
The Miami Herald Athlete of the Week polls — now one each for Miami-Dade and Broward counties — open Sunday every week and close around 10 p.m. Thursday.
