Westminster Christian boys’ lacrosse standout Wade Parker is the Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.

On the season, Parker has stopped 171 of 315 shots that have come his way for a .542 save percentage. Westminster Christian is 10-7 on the season heading into its Class 1A regional quarterfinal against Boca Raton Saint Andrew’s.
Ransom Everglades boys’ tennis’ Alejandro Urdaneta, Gulliver Prep girls’ water polo’s Kathleen Serig, Northwestern girls’ track and field’s Shakynah Tresvant and Doral Academy baseball’s Adrian Santana rounded out this week’s participants.
The Miami Herald Athlete of the Week polls — now one each for Miami-Dade and Broward counties — open Sunday every week and close around 10 p.m. Thursday.
