Results are in. Gulliver baseball standout voted Dade High School Athlete of the Week
Gulliver Prep baseball’s George Lombard is the Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.
Lombard, a senior and a Vanderbilt signee, went 4 for 5 with two home runs and five RBI to lead the Raiders to a 17-6 win over two-time defending state champion North Broward Prep.
On the season, Lombard is hitting .488 (20 for 41) with nine doubles, two home runs, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored. He has drawn 11 walks and struck out just five times.
Somerset Silver Palms softball’s Ava Stevens, Mater Lakes boys’ volleyball’s Jesus Montes, Braddock baseball’s Aidan Correa and Miami Norland boys’ track and field’s Matthew McKnight rounded out this week’s participants.
