Belen Jesuit boys’ volleyball’s Robert Henao is the Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.

Henao, a senior setter, totaled 119 assists, seven kills, four aces and seven blocks to lead the Wolverines to five wins (including victories over last year’s state qualifiers Southwest and Cardinal Gibbons) and the Jungle Queen Invitational championship.

Belen Jesuit is 9-0 so far to start the season. Henao is averaging 7.6 assists per set.

Gulliver Prep girls’ water polo’s Gaby Montalvo, Goleman baseball’s Chris Perez and Southwest baseball’s Tyler Duarte rounded out this week’s participants.

The Miami Herald Athlete of the Week polls — now one each for Miami-Dade and Broward counties — open Sunday every week and close around 10 p.m. Thursday.
