Results are in. Lourdes soccer standout voted Dade High School Athlete of the Week
Lourdes girls’ soccer’s Coco Aguilar is the Miami-Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.
Aguilar last week had a goal and an assist in Lourdes’ 5-0 win over Gulliver Prep on Dec. 21 and followed that up by scoring both goals in a 2-0 win for the Bobcats over Palmetto on Dec. 23.
Aguilar, a senior, has seven goals and three assists so far this season to help Lourdes to a 9-1-2 record.
Gulliver Prep boys’ basketball’s Jeremy Arnum, Miami Central football’s Keyone Jenkins and Miami Beach boys’ soccer’s Gianluca Calabrese rounded out this week’s participants.
The Miami Herald Athlete of the Week polls — now one each for Miami-Dade and Broward counties — open Sunday every week and close around 10 p.m. Thursday.
