Flanagan’s historic season continued with a 49-28 win over Coral Springs (7-4) on Friday night. The Falcons (10-0) advance to next week’s Class 8A regional semifinal.
Quarterback Ryan Stanley went 17 of 27 with 258 yards and three touchdowns. He also added a 4-yard rushing touchdown. Javhari Bordeau returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown, and an interception 65 yards to cap the scoring. Receiver Robert Foy caught a pair of touchdowns of 28 and 34 yards.
The Falcons would score 22 unanswered points to get a comfortable lead in the second half.
A player from each team was carted off on a stretcher.
