Khalil Herbert’s 137 yards, three touchdowns lead Douglas Eagles in rout of Nova Titans
Khalil Herbert ran for 137 yards and three touchdowns as the Douglas Eagles rolled to a 54-27 victory in their season finale.
After throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown by Claude Edouard on the opening drive, quarterback Brett Israel rebounded to lead the team on four first-half scoring drives.
The last of the drives ended with a 10-yard touchdown as time expired to Tate Lehtio. Israel finished with 137 yard rushing and two touchdowns.
Senior Nick Aiello also blocked a Nova punt that was recovered for a touchdown.
Titans running back Anthony Sims had 81 yards and two touchdowns.
The Titans had 107 yards in penalties.
