Ryan Moore’s three touchdown catches lift Westminster Academy Lions into second round

Ryan Moore caught three touchdown passes to lead the undefeated Lions (9-0) to a 45-10 victory against Florida Christian (3-6) in round one of the SFC playoffs at the Westminster Academy Athletic Complex.

Florida Christian led 3-0 at the end of the first quarter, but the Lions scored early in the second on a short run by Johnnie Gaines. That was the first of four second-quarter touchdowns by Westminster.

With a 123-yard game on four catches, Moore now has 25 receptions for 533 yards and nine touchdowns this season. Quarterback Joseph Vairo passed for 207 yards and four touchdowns.

The Lions will host Coral Springs Charter in round two at 7p.m. Thursday.
