McArthur baseball’s Devin Grazzal is the Broward High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.
Grazzal gave up one earned run and one hit over six innings while striking out 13 in a 6-4 win over Coral Glades on March 9.
On the season, Grazzal has a 2.06 ERA with 34 strikeouts against seven walks over 17 innings.
Western softball’s Alana Cypress, Pompano Beach softball’s Sammy Murphy and Taravella baseball’s Anthony Quigley rounded out this week’s participants.
The Miami Herald Athlete of the Week polls — now one each for Miami-Dade and Broward counties — open Sunday every week and close around 10 p.m. Thursday.
