Fort Lauderdale girls soccer’s Chelcy McNally is the Broward High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.
McNally scored four goals to lead the Flying L’s to an 8-0 win Southwest on Feb. 7, which marked their first ever regional playoff victory. Fort Lauderdale’s historic season ended one match later with a 5-0 loss to Lourdes in the regional semifinals.
Fort Lauderdale finished the season 11-7-3
Cardinal Gibbons girls basketball’s Taylor Williams, St. Thomas Aquinas boys’ soccer’s Jesus Rodriguez, Cypress Bay girls’ soccer’s Mackenzie Rector and Hallandale boys’ basketball’s Samir Norman rounded out this week’s participants.
