Michael Harris throws for 415 yards in Monarch’s homecoming win
Monarch didn’t disappoint in its homecoming at Deerfield Beach, as quarterback Michael Harris threw for 415 yards (completing 21 of 33 passes) and five touchdowns in the Knights’ 47-14 victory.
He also scored on a 15-yard run to help keep the Knights undefeated (6-0, 4-0) and with a share of the District 11-8A lead.
Taravella (2-5, 0-3) scored on the game’s opening series, driving 80 yards on 12 plays, capped by Jawanza Evans-Morris’ 3-yard run for a short-lived 7-0 lead.
The Knights went on to score three unanswered touchdowns, with Harris tossing scoring strikes to Ellen Davis (63 yards), Jerry Jeudy (17) and Brayon Parrish (16) for a 21-7 halftime lead.
