Jovon Durante’s kickoff return helps Miramar Patriots roll

Miramar (5-2, 3-0) handily defeated Everglades (3-4, 2-2), 49-7, in a district contest.

The Patriots broke the game open in the second quarter when senior defensive lineman Bryton Diejuste intercepted a tipped pass and returned it for a touchdown.

Senior Jovon Durante also contributed with an 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, part of a 28-point third quarter for Miramar.

The Patriots remained undefeated in district play. They will face Flanagan on the road next week. Everglades will play Miramar.
