Monarch scores early and often to bury Douglas

Monarch blitzed Douglas early and cruised to a 49-12 victory at Deerfield Beach in a battle of undefeated District 11-8A rivals.

The Knights (4-0, 2-0) scored on their first four possessions to take a 28-6 lead midway in the second quarter. The Eagles (3-1, 1-1) committed two turnovers that led to Monarch touchdowns and were never able to fully recover. Douglas turned the ball over five times.
