Hollywood Hills Spartans rush for 272 yards, edge South Broward Bulldogs

Hollywood Hills edged host South Broward 34-31 in a back-and-forth game. A 20-point third quarter and a balanced running game helped the Spartans control the second half and hold off a late Bulldogs’ comeback.

Spartans wide receiver Edward Aldred caught six passes for 98 yards and a score to lead all receivers, and Lamont Clarke, Danavan Henderson, and Darius Greene combined for 272 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Down 34-16, the Bulldogs scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter behind a Krisna Thomas 2-yard run and a 15-yard Mike Mobley dash. Thomas ran in a successful 2-point conversion to make it a three-point contest.
