Results are in. Gulliver Prep volleyball standout voted Dade High School Athlete of the Week
Gulliver Prep volleyball standout Jackie Taylor is the Dade High School Athlete of the Week, as voted on by readers in our weekly poll.
Taylor, a senior, finished with a combined 54 kills and 12 blocks to lead the Raiders to wins over Tampa Academy of the Holy Names and Orlando Bishop Moore, which clinched the school’s first state championship.
On the season, Taylor led Gulliver Prep with 418 kills, a .400 hitting percentage and 108 blocks.
Belen Jesuit boys’ golf’s Lorenzo Rodriguez, Central football’s Amari Wallace, Braddock boys’ swimming and diving’s Anthony Pineiro and Monsignor Pace football’s Michael Nozile rounded out this week’s participants.
