Poll: Who are your top Dade high school boys’ and girls’ bowlers for the 2022 season?

The 2022 high school bowling season featured many standout performances once again in Miami-Dade County.

The Miami Herald recently published its All-Dade Bowling team as well as its Bowlers and Coaches of the Year.

This week, the Herald is asking you to vote on who you think was the best overall of those players this season.

Below is a look at the players who earned first team honors this season. Take our poll below to cast your vote. The poll will be open until Monday, Jan. 16, around 10 p.m. The top boy and girl vote-getters will be declared the winners of this fan vote.

You may vote as often as you like until then.

Here are the candidates:

BOYS

Christopher Ferrer, Columbus: Ferrer, a senior, posted the third-highest finish at state among Dade bowlers and finished with a 179.4 average.

Alejandro Johnson, Columbus: Johnson, a senior, finished second-best among Dade bowlers with a 189.4 average during the state series.

Isaiah Lacayo, Ferguson: Lacayo, a sophomore, averaged 185 during the state series and helped the Falcons win the District 17 team title.

Donovin Lau, Coral Reef: Lau, a junior, averaged 187.4 during the state series and was the District 17 individual runner-up.

Joshua Munoz, Ferguson: Munoz, a junior, averaged 179.1 average in the state series on the District 17 team champions.

Evan Viener, Palmetto: Viener, a sophomore, bowled a 300 game at state, was the top individual qualifier and a District 17 individual champion, averaging 235 during the state series.

Samantha Abreu, Ferguson: Abreu, a senior, averaged 144.7 during the state series.

Natalia Findeisen, Ferguson: Findeisen, a junior, averaged 140 at the state series and won the District 17 individual title.

Maggie Meltzer, Palmetto: Meltzer, a senior, averaged 138 for the season, was the District 17 individual runner-up and finished third at Youth Fair.

Thalia Nelson, Krop: Nelson, a junior, averaged 142 for the season, finished 56th at state (top Dade finisher) and was the District 16 individual runner-up and Youth Fair individual champion.

Joselyn Reyes-Clark, Krop: Reyes-Clark, a freshman, averaged 145 for the season and was the District 16 individual champion.

Kaitlyn Ramos, Goleman: Ramos, a senior, averaged 143 during the state series and was the top bowler on the District 17 team runner-up.
