Miami High-Coral Park football game postponed

Junior Keyshawn “Pie” Young scored five touchdowns in a game that was postponed after just one half because of lightning. Miami High was ahead of Coral Park 47-0.

Because it is a district game, it must be completed. The teams will line up again at 3 p.m. Monday at Miami High.

Young scored on punt returns of 55 and 58 yards, runs of 43 and 19 yards and a reception of 40 yards. The other touchdowns came on a 7-yard interception return by defensive back Everett Evans and a 51-yard run by quarterback Murphy Theodore, who also hit Young on the pass play. Miami High entered the game 3-1, and Coral Park entered 0-4.
