UFC fighter Anthony Pettis believes former WWE Superstar CM Punk (Phil Brooks) will surprise a lot of critics, when he makes his MMA debut at UFC 203.
Before that occurs, the former UFC lightweight champ makes his own debut, fighting for the first time in the featherweight division against Charles Oliveira on the UFC on FOX 21 fight card airing 8 p.m. ET live Saturday, Aug. 27 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Pettis was interviewed by Rodolfo Roman of The Roman Show.
Pettis said he plans on attending UFC 203, when CM Punk makes his mixed martial arts debut.

“I think people think he is horrible, but that’s not the case,” Pettis told The Roman Show. “He definitely came a long way.”
In the recent FS1 special, CM Punk and Pettis were seen sparring at the Duke Roufus camp where both fighters train in Wisconsin.
“No, I am not a fan of pro wrestling. I know Punk is from Chicago. As a kid I was a fan of pro wrestling,” he said. “Punk is looking good. He can surprise people. He put the work in.”
As for his own fight, Pettis feels confident in his inaugural featherweight bout.
“I feel motivated,” he said. “I put the work in and am ready to take care of business.”
