SmackDown Miami: Big Show talks Mayweather, Granny, WrestleMania

WWE Superstar Big Show showcases plenty of WrestleMania moments, competing there against the biggest and the best from his profession and other professions like Akeebono, Floyd Money Myweather and Shaquille O’Neal. The legendary Big Show and WWE SmackDown will return to the AmericanAirlines Arena, home of the three-time NBA champion Miami Heat, on Tuesday, June 28. Also scheduled to appear are Dean Ambrose, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Charlotte, Bray Wyatt & the Wyatt Family, Chris Jericho, Sasha Banks, A.J. Meet WWE Intercontinental champ The Miz from 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28 at the Cricket Wireless Store, 12530 Pines Blvd., (South Florida) Pembroke Pines, 33027. At the same time, Sheamus will be at JC Penny in conjunction with Tapout at the Dadeland Mall, 7201 N. Kendall Dr., Miami, 33156. Then at night see The Miz and Sheamus during WWE SmackDown TV tapings at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami.

Dalton Castle with The Boys challenges Bobby Fish for the ROH World Television title during Ring of Honor’s Best in the World pay-per-view on Friday, June 24 at the Cabarrus Arena in Concord, N.C., outside Charlotte. The live broadcast is available on all major pay-per-view carriers, ROHWrestling.com, FITE TV, Playstation Network, and more. Bell time is 9 p.m. EST.

Indie sensation Johnny Gargano, who appears on NXT, is part of the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Classic, which begins TV taping on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Full Sail Live at Full Sail University in Winter Park, near Orlando. The WWE Cruiserweight Classic debuts on the WWE Network at 9 p.m. EST Wednesday, July 13.

(Part 1) Diamond Dallas Page proves hard work and a ‘don’t quit’ attitude pay off, whether it’s on the basketball court, in the wrestling ring or on the DDP Yoga mat. DDP will be featured at Florida Supercon from July 1-4 at the Miami Beach Convention Center and Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater, 1901 Convention Center Dr. Pro wrestling guests also include Road Warrior Animal, Demolition (Ax and Smash), The Godfather, Mickie James, Michael Kingston, and Mick Foley. Jerry The King Lawler will not be appearing.

Update: Change in X-Wrestling in Miami

X-Wrestling’s Fight Night 6 is 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at the Polish American Club, 1250 NW 22nd Ave. in Miami. Because of a last-minute addition to a TNA/Impact Wrestling Australian tour/appearance, Robbie E. will not be at X-Wrestling Fight Night 6. He has re-scheduled for X-Wrestling Fight Night 8 on Aug. 27.

Before it needed to be rescheduled three months ago, the welterweight title bout between Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter was gaining attention among the sport’s loyal enthusiasts. Thurman and Porter are considered two of the best in the division. Bouts featuring young and talented fighters, with Thurman’s and Porter’s championship pedigrees, are often difficult to match. Factors for the infrequency of such bouts include promotional conflicts or fighter ties to different television networks.
