WWE signs Shinsuke Nakamura
WWE (NYSE: WWE) announced the signing of international superstar Shinsuke Nakamura to its NXT division. Nakamura will officially report to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando in late March.
During the course of his 14-year career, Nakamura has garnered universal popularity for his eclectic personality and electrifying style that combines speed, ferocity and technical skill. That style earned him multiple titles for organizations in his native Japan.
“Talent is the lifeblood of our company, and the signing of Shinsuke Nakamura further demonstrates NXT’s commitment to bringing in the best talent from all over the world,” Paul Triple H Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, said in a release. “His explosive style will make an immediate impact to an already dynamic NXT men’s division.”
Nakamura is scheduled to make his in-ring debut against Sami Zayn at NXT TakeOver: Dallas on Friday, April 1 from a sold-out Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Arena during WrestleMania Week. NXT TakeOver: Dallas will be broadcast live around the world at 10 p.m. ET on the award-winning WWE Network.
